The Wanderlust Bug

An American Story of a Norwegian Emigrant Family

Gunval Gulbrandson

A fictional account of four generations of the Brevik family. First generation Olav Brevik is bitten by the Wanderlust Bug and emigrates to America, where he builds a farm and accepts Greta Gronberg's outlandish conditions for marriage. Second generation Marten and his wife die mysterious deaths, leaving an orphan son. Third generation Chris leaves the farm for academia. A WWII bomber pilot, he discovers an enemy more deadly than the German 88-millimeter cannon. Fourth generation Jack enters a marriage stranger than that of his grandfather and struggles with the family adversary.
